It’s more and more common to see post-credit sequences released after a blockbuster film to hint to the audience about the next development. These scenes intrigue the viewers to expect more fascinating on-screen events, but they aren’t always followed by a movie.

#1 X-Men Origins: Wolverine – Even More Deadpool

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not impressive to the audience, even though Hugh Jackman is, as always, the perfect Wolverine.
The decapitated head of Deadpool appeared in the post-credit scene with the mouth sewn shut. When a hand reached out to get the head, Deadpool suddenly opened his eyes, showing that he was still alive. Nevertheless, with the film’s poor reception, no sequel would be introduced.
#2 Battleship – 2 Battle 2 Ship

Despite the star-stubbed cast of Liam Neeson, Brooklyn Decker, and Rihanna, Battleship was quite disappointing. That was why a sequel shown in the after-credit scene was never made. The scene featured an asteroid hitting the Earth and the conquer of the alien.
#3 Daredevil – Bullseye’s Back Baby!

Do you remember Bullseye (played by Colin Farrell) in Daredevil? Though the movie failed to demonstrate the spirit and style of the comics, the filmmakers intended to make a sequel. The post-credit scene portrayed Bullseye with severe injuries in a hospital bed. Despite his condition, he could kill a fly with a syringe, proving he could be back very soon.
#4 Suicide Squad – Waller Knows Who Batman Is
Suicide Squad is odd and mismatched, which may be the result of the studio’s interference with director David Ayer’s work. Despite that, Warner Bros still came up with a post-credit scene that involved Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) going on a fight with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck).

The scene was filmed in an empty restaurant where the two characters met. Waller wanted Bruce to keep the film’s events and Taskforce X secret, and he agreed as long as she gave him information to help him build his Justice League. However, Waller seemed to know about Bruce’s evenings, so she may use that information to blackmail him in the future.
#5 Justice League (Theatrical Version) – A League Of Our Own
The theatrical version of Justice League was not successful, so the producer has no intention to move on with a sequel. However, the post-credit scene seems to capture the audience’s attention.

The scene has the participation of Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello), a villain in a Batman movie. The character and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) planned to form a team of supervillains. No one wants to miss a battle between a team of heroes and a team of villains, without a doubt!
#6 Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – What Are You Still Doing Here?
The iconic coming-of-age comedy of John Hughes was one of the earliest flicks featuring an after-credit sequence. The audience really hoped for one last joke after watching Ferris ditch school to enjoy the best day of his life with a fancy car, a fancy meal, and an impressive musical number.

#7 Charlie’s Angels – Cameos Galore

With the cast including Kirsten Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska, no one could think Charlie’s Angels would fail to please the audience and critics. A sequel of the movie was even prepared. The after-credit sequence was released with the engagement of cameos such as Ronda Rousey, Hailee Steinfield, and Lili Reinhart.
