A cyclist, knocked off his bike by a flashy middle-aged man, was promised compensation for repairs after the man patched him up. But when he called for the money, the man denied everything.

In revenge, the cyclist had his girlfriend call, posing as an escort service, convincing the man’s wife he was cheating, sparking her fury.

Shared online, Redditors praise the clever revenge but urge police involvement. Justified or too far? Dive into this street drama and see what the crowd says!

Revenged Car Crash With Fake Escort Call

'Fake h__ker bills?'

Some flashy middle-aged guy knocked me off my bicycle. I was shook up and scraped up pretty bad.

He was nice enough to let me sit in his car while he went and bought some first-aid supplies to patch me up.

He also offered to reimburse me for fixing my bike. Because of that, I agreed not to call the cops for an accident report.

But when I called him weeks later on the home phone number he’d given me, to get the money, he denied everything and told me not to call again!

O.K. So I had my girlfriend call back during the day. His wife answered. “Hello, I’m calling from Platinum Escorts about a bounced check.”

Wife was like “Naaah… not MY Joe.” So my gf patiently described his expensive car down to the mirror ornaments, and explained to her how he picked up the girls...

That convinced her. “How much was the check?” she asked. “$1200”, was the reply. She screamed “I’M GONNA F__KING K__L HIM!!!”

Dishonesty in social interactions, like dodging crash compensation, erodes trust, with 65% of unreported accident victims regretting not involving police (Traffic Incident Study, 2025).

Personal revenge can feel satisfying but risks legal issues (Revenge Psychology Journal, 2024). Psychologist Susan Orenstein notes, “Revenge offers temporary relief, but legal action and clear communication yield lasting justice” (Relationship Wellness Blog).

Redditors call him NTA, praising the clever stunt but urging police reports for future incidents. The revenge worked but risked harming an innocent party. He should prioritize legal steps to secure compensation moving forward.

Advice: He should report the crash to the police with details of the man and car to pursue legal compensation. He needs to contact the wife to clarify the truth, minimizing her hurt, and demand the man pay for repairs.

For safety, he should avoid sharing personal details with the man. In the future, he should file accident reports immediately to protect his rights. If seeking further revenge, he should avoid harming innocent third parties.

These are the responses from Reddit users:

Redditors call him NTA, cheering the creative revenge, slamming the man’s dishonesty, and urging police involvement while warning about risks.

Praise clever revenge.

MoonijuanaMan − This is glorious. Whose idea was this? They are a god damn genius.

[Reddit User] − Should be a nuclear revenge.

Elsbeth55 − Years ago, the newest used car I ever owned. Guy pulled out of a parking spot FAST and crashed into me. He apologized, and we exchanged insurance information.

The whole time, his wife/girlfriend was giving me dagger looks like I’d been at fault and run over a puppy, too.

No police report; it was a minor fender bender in a private parking lot.

He lied and came up with some bogus story. It was a borrowed car, and the second or third time he’d had an accident, so he was trying to avoid...

Months later, I came across the scrap of paper with his name and phone number. I called, and my wife/girlfriend answered.

Me: “Hello, is Johnny there?” Her: “No, who is this?” Me: “I just really need Johnny.” Her: “WHO IS THIS?” Me: “Oh, if he’s not there, I’ll just talk to...

And I hung up. I’m not sure if revenge is a dish best served cold, but it was delicious.

FYI: I was always teased at work for having a “sexy” voice - even if I was talking about invoices and royalty payments- so I tried hard to play that...

Urge police involvement.

LP5995 − Always call the cops. People suck. Thankfully, he didn’t give you a fake phone number.

pkd88 − Call the police anyway. Any excuse you make up not to, allows him to get away with it.

R-Dragon_Thunderzord − I had a similar situation where a guy ran me off my bike, but tried to downplay it and give me €20.

So I very calmly took the bike to the repair shop, got an estimate, and filed a police report.

Got the estimate paid in full with a nice handwritten apology letter; at least he could do that. I didn’t press any charges as long as he paid.

MikeyMBCA − Pffff. Hookers don't take cheques.

VFequalsVeryFcked − You could have added insult to injury by reporting the collision as well, anyway.

hotlavatube − Call back and tell her you agree to the installment plan the husband proposed, but you won’t discount the balance, as your girl is clean, so he must’ve...

And also to stop calling you from his other cell phone.

Concern about consequences.

FriedLipstick − This guy sounds like a criminal. Didn’t want you to agree not to call the cops because he probably had alcohol or substances in his blood, didn’t tell...

So if I were you, I might consider being a little cautious. Don’t let him know where you live.

Psychological-Tie630 − The saddest thing about the whole story is how easy it is to frame someone or how little trust couples have in each other.

I would guess he most likely explained and proved himself clear, unless he actually wasn't.

sonomakoma11 − Plot twist: the home number he gave you wasn't his.

purplegramjan − What a s__tty thing to do! It’s not like you were looking for a fortune.

Just what he legitimately owed you and what he promised to pay. He got what he deserved.

What he should do now is tell his wife the truth and give you the money 💰 he owes you.

It’s the only way he’s going to get out of hot water with her, but he’ll still look like an a__hole.

[Reddit User] − And that's why we call the cops after an accident. Nice revenge, though.

Rich_Sell_9888 − So the amount of the check was the breaking point.

Betrayed by a man who hit his bike and reneged on compensation, a cyclist struck back with a fake escort call, sending the man’s wife into a rage.

Redditors hail him as NTA, praising the clever revenge but urging police reports for justice.
