Sony announced on Tuesday that the third installment in the Venom franchise has been given a title and a new release date.
Titled “Venom: The Last Dance,” the film is now scheduled to premiere on October 25th of this year, moving up from its original date of November 8th.
The movie will be presented in IMAX and on Premium Large Format screens.
While the plot direction remains unclear, it’s confirmed that Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Eddie Brock/Venom.
Joining Hardy in the third installment are Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo.
Making her directorial debut is Kelly Marcel, who also worked on the screenplay with Hardy.
Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker are producing the film alongside Marcel and Hardy.
The previous two Venom films have amassed an impressive $1.36 billion at the global box office.
