Have you ever wondered what happened to Snow White after Prince Charming kissed her on the lips and gave her the life-giving kiss? What happened to Cinderella when her Fairy Godmother Bippity Boppity Boo-ed her to the ball where she met her Prince, and after all the drama with her shoe, they lived happily ever after? Every Disney film concludes with the lovers reconciling and wandering out into the sunset hand in hand. Sunset is always present. They frequently marry after wistfully gazing at one other. What does it mean to live “happily ever after?
Disney doesn’t tell us about life after the “happy endings” of their fairy tales. But it hasn’t prevented some talented fan painters from depicting what life might be like for some of the characters. Take a look at some of my favorite Happy Ever After artwork created by a variety of artists.
Which works are you impressed with? Do you have any new ideas for the happy life of your favorite princesses?
