When watching movies, we are often under the impression that the actors tend to get along, especially those having a close relationship in the film. In fact, many co-stars have much worse relations compared to what they show on the screen.

#1 Dakota Johnson-Jamie Dornan

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are believed to have a bad relationship co-starring in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy despite their denial. In 2017, Dakota joked that “We hate each other and we’re having an affair, so everybody’s right. How about that?” while the actor said that he and Dakota had a “brother-sister” relationship.
#2 James Franco-Anne Hathaway

Do you remember the co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway in the 2001 83rd Academy Awards ceremony? The two failed as the emcees at the event, and some believed Anne was furious at James when he mostly stood around with a goofy look on his face. The rumor may be real when in 2013, James said the two “made up” after the Oscars.
#3 Jessica Alba-Jensen Ackles

Jessica Alba and Jensen Ackles worked together in the sci-fi show “Dark Angel,” which aired from 2000 to 2002. On Michael Rosenbaum‘s “Inside of You” podcast in early 2022, Jensen said that “She was horrible, I’ve told this to her face.” The actress had too much on her plate at the time, and Jensen understood that. They eventually respected each other: “We bickered, we bickered like brother and sister,” he said.

Don’t be fooled by the passionate kiss on the screen! Richard Gere and his co-star Debra Winger couldn’t stand each other while filming “An Officer and a Gentleman. Years later, Richard said he only participated in the movie “for money” while the actress admitted that the actor was “a brick wall.

Charlie Sheen is notorious for his annoying troubles on and off the screen. His reputation was ruined even more after he got co-star Selma Blair fired from the FX sitcom “Anger Management.” After the actor knew that Seima complained to producers about his habitual lateness on set, he forced the filmmaker to fire her, otherwise, he’d quit. He then even texted her directly to brag about getting her fired.
#6 Emma Kenny-Emmy Rossum

Emma Kenney and Emmy Rossum acted as sisters in the hit Showtime series. On the Oct. 13, 2021, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Emma revealed that Emmy was like a real-life sister to her “in good and bad ways.” She share: “I was obviously a lot younger [than her]. There were times when she would try to be a good influence and then there were times where she would be blatantly giving me bad… not the best advice.” The actress added. “I remember, pre her leaving, I’d go to set some days and I’d be very anxious about having a scene with her because if she had a bad day, she made it a bad day for everyone.”
#7 Janet Hubert-Will Smith

If you’ve watched “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, you may notice when Daphne Reed suddenly replaced Janet Hubert in the role of Aunt Viv. Janet later revealed that she was fired by the “egomaniac” Will Smith when she asked to be paid more. Will, on the other hand, blamed the actress’s ego for many issues in their working relationship: “I can say straight-up that Janet Hubert wanted the show to be ‘The Aunt Viv of Bel-Air Show.'” Surprisingly, the duo could work together in HBO Max’s “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion” special. Will admitted that he wasn’t “sensitive” or “perceptive” to Janet’s issues in the past.
#8 Bill Murray-Lucy Liu

During the 2000 “Charlie’s Angels” movie, Bill Murray had a fierce row with one of the three Angels: Lucy Liu. They couldn’t get along, so Bernie Mac took over Bill’s role in the 2003 sequel “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.” Bill then stated that he and Lucy only had a 20-minute argument one day on set, which was not a big deal at all.
However, the actress expressed another viewpoint toward the story in 2021. “Some of the language was inexcusable and unacceptable,” she said. “I couldn’t believe [what he was saying] could be towards me, because what do I have to do with anything majorly important at that time? I literally do the look around my shoulder thing, like, ‘Who is he talking to behind me?'” Therefore, she decided to confront him and stand up for herself.
